Newsletter - 27th June 2019

From the Principal

Dear Parents/Guardians

For Peace in our World

Why is it God, that there are always wars between peoples?

The answer we know is complex and complicated

but today our prayer is for peace – peace in our world,

peace between peoples of different beliefs, different cultures,

and different understandings.

Send your Spirit into the hearts of all people that we may work towards peace – a peace that is based on respect, tolerance, justice and love.

We make this prayer in union with Jesus, your Son

Who came to bring peace to our world.  Amen

Welcome to Term Three to all parents, students and staff. I hope you have enjoyed a restful break and are looking forward to all the fun, friendship, fulfilment and enjoyment that will come with the many encounters and activities we have during the term.

Congratulations Father Peter:

Father Peter celebrates his 50th year as a Priest this coming weekend. The Grade 4 Students from Corpus Christi and our Grade 6 Leaders for Term 3 will attend a Mass on Friday 22 July to celebrate Father Peter’s special day with him.

Father Peter is also having a 50th Anniversary Dinner on Friday 22 July at Blundstone Arena and Mass at Corpus Christi Church on Sunday 24 July, followed by soup and sandwiches in the Corpus Christi Hall. Parishoners are very welcome to enjoy soups and sandwiches after the 10:30am Mass.

Congratulations to Father Peter from our Corpus Christi School Community for a wonderful 50th anniversary Celebration and we wish you well for the future.

Parent/Teacher Consultations:

A reminder that Parent/Teacher consultations will be on:

Wednesday 27 July – Grades – Kinder, Prep, 1, 2, 3, 4TL, 5H and 6 – from 3:20pm - 5:00pm

Family Life Program:

Grades 2, 4 and 6 students will participate in the Family Life Program commencing the week of Monday 5 September.  There will be a Parent Information Session on Thursday 1 September commencing at 7:00pm in the Grade 6 classroom.

A letter will be sent home with a return slip to advise if you are available to attend the Parent Information Session.

Car Park:

Please DO NOT drop off, park or collect students from the top Staff Carpark. As there have been a few near misses recently it is a dangerous area for children as we have deliveries at all times of the day and the visibility of children is diminished.
