Play and Learn: Creative Children is held every Tuesday from 9.30am-10.30am during the school term in Ballygriffin House at Corpus Christi Catholic School. Play and Learn is a free birth to 4 year old program.  Facilitated by Kinder staff, these sessions focus on fun and interactive activities for children. All welcome.   Further information is available here and also from the School Office.

Corpus Christi Catholic School Play and Learn: Mini-Movers

Based on feedback, Play and Learn: Mini-Movers will continue from 8.45am - 9.30am in Term 4 commencing from Tuesday 23rd October in the Hall.  Play and Learn: Mini-Movers is a perceptual motor program designed for pre-school children with a fine and motor skill focus. Just like Play and Learn: Creative Children, parents remain with their child and start with a whole group activity, broken into small stations before a plenary session at the end. Free fruit is available for all children and parents at the conclusion of the session.

Kinder Enrolments 2019

Any current families looking to enrol their child into Kinder for 2019, or know of families outside of school, are asked to complete an enrolment form from the Office, or from the School Website, as soon as possible. Enrolment forms are dated when they are received at the Office. In previous years we have had waiting lists and families who do miss out on a Kinder place, so completion of enrolment forms early will assist our process.

Application forms may be emailed to office.ccs@catholic.tas.edu.au.

Enrolment form here.

Primary Schools Regional Basketball Tournament - 2017

Well, it is that time of year again when Corpus Christi looks to enter teams in the Primary Schools Basketball Tournament. This year we are hoping to enter two teams (Division A and Division B) in the junior boys/girls (Grade 3/4) and senior boys/girls (Grade 5/6). The competition will take place at Kingborough Stadium on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of October.

The cost will be approximately $50.00 per person depending on numbers. There is also a $5.00 entry charge per person per day on competition days.

We are looking to hold trials next Friday 18 August at MacKillop College gym but are awaiting confirmation. All effort will be made to accommodate any child wishing to play and coaches will conduct trials and choose teams accordingly. Mr Brasnja and Mrs McCallum will be in attendance to help with this process and will aim to accommodate all children wishing to compete.

All I need to know now is an indication of interested players and whether your child plays at club level and what level that is. For example:

John Smith Cavaliers Div 1 under 12’s

Please email this information to Mr Brasnja at justin.brasnja@catholic.tas.edu.au by Monday 14 August. Information regarding trials will be sent out early next week - Each age group will be allocated a 30-minute trial session and teams will be chosen from this. If a child cannot attend, a decision regarding divisions will be made based on prior experience and current club divisions.

Kind regards,

Mr Justin Brasnja                                                                             Mrs Dana McCallum
