Virtues Program
At Corpus Christi Catholic School, our core mission is to nurture student learning while
ensuring the care, safety, and overall wellbeing of every child. Grounded in our Christ-centred vision, we believe in the holistic development of each student — recognising that
character formation and emotional wellbeing are inseparable from academic success.
As part of our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing, we have continued to embed the Corpus Christi Virtues Program into everyday school life. This program is designed to explicitly teach and model the values and behaviours that help students grow into kind, responsible, and active contributors to our school and wider community.
The Virtues Program emerged from reflections during our school validation process and continues to shape a positive school culture where all students feel supported and included. It reinforces the belief that strong character development, positive relationships, and respectful behaviour are essential foundations for learning and life.
Living out our values
In honour of the Presentation Sisters, who founded our school, the Virtues Program is anchored in the values they lived and taught —Hospitality, Compassion, and Joy. These core virtues are deeply rooted in our Catholic tradition and continue to inspire how we teach, learn, and interact as a community.
Through positive reinforcement, explicit teaching, and daily practice, we encourage students to embrace these virtues not just as school expectations, but as meaningful ways to live and treat others. This approach strengthens both individual character and our shared school culture, helping to build a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment for all.

TERM 1
Hospitality
Hospitality is shown by creating a welcoming and
inclusive environment for everyone — students, staff,
and visitors. This can be as simple as greeting others
with a smile, offering help to someone in need, or including others in games and group activities.
TERM 2
Compassion
Compassion is demonstrated through kindness, empathy, and care for others. Students and staff show compassion by being supportive, listening attentively, and helping those who may be struggling. It also involves being open to different perspectives and treating everyone with dignity and respect.
TERM 3
Joy
Joy at Corpus Christi is found in shared celebrations, learning successes, and the small moments of connection each day. We encourage students to approach learning and relationships with enthusiasm and gratitude, spreading joy
through positive attitudes and actions.
